Lauren Jones, a senior at Oklahoma, earned the women's high point award at the Big 12 Championships by winning the hammer throw, finishing second in the discus throw and placing eighth in the shot put at the Terry and Linda Fuller Track and Field Complex in Lubbock, Texas. Jones produced a mark of 222-1 (67.69m) in the hammer throw, had a throw of 185 feet (56.38m) in the discus and achieved a 50-10 (15.49m) effort in the shot put to produce 19 points overall, as the Oklahoma female throwers accounted for 50 points at the meet.
